About The Race Relations Podcast

Welcome to the Race Relations Podcast! This is your host speaking, Kaleb Sinclair. By day I am a licensed mental health counselor helping guide and support people in the their mental health healing journeys. However, specifically on this podcast I am a Black identifying individual on a quest for hard truths, forgotten history, and way forward through stirring conversation regarding Racism in America. Since the beginning of American's conception, the American people have struggled to highlight and shed light on the roots and mechanisms of racism and oppression in this country. Throughout the ages racism has existed as subject of deep divide and contention leaving many of us in dark on how to amend, heal, and progress not only this country, but more importantly it's citizens. This podcast endeavors to be a beacon of transparency and clarity on how we can further the discussion of racism in this country and learn to heal from the deep scars that affect us all, whether knowingly or not. Join me as I embark to talk with experts in the field and those that have faced racism in their everyday lives as we engage in radical conversation in an effort to bring about a brighter and more empathetic society.

Host Kaleb Sinclair’s Personal Story

From birth, the forces of racism and oppression have sculpted my journey towards creating “The Race Relations Podcast”. I remember as a young five-year-old child the first time I discovered “racism”, how I and others would systemically targeted and oppressed by systems and people who subscribed to racist ideologies. I recall how confused, angry, and sad I was, how I felt helpless as an individual fighting against such oppressive forces. I yearned for a tangible way forward, for hope, strength, and insight to aid in the fight to bring about societal change and progress.

This podcast is a part of my effort to manifest a cultural shift in America. I firmly believe now more than ever citizens of differing opinion and ideologies struggle in extending empathy towards eachother despite disagreements. As a result, ane of the greatest issues concerning the fight against racism is that people of differing constitutions do not or cannot seek out ways to build empathetic bonds to comprehend diverse people. I beleive that we must not allow our differences to divide us.
